Effective flue gas cleaning with safe and accurate metering
During combustion, dioxins and heavy metals are formed which are toxic. To capture these, many incineration plants use a method where activated carbon is injected into the flue gas. The dioxins and also heavy metals are adsorbed and thus filtered out.
Tomal’s delivery includes a silo system with metering equipment and pneumatic transport. Activated carbon is then added as a dry powder directly into the flue gas channel before the filter. As activated carbon is classified as explosive, we can also include a plant that complies with the ATEX directives.
