Information on recycling
The crossed-out wheeled bin on products, battery, literature or packaging means that all electrical and electronic products, batteries and accumulators should be taken to a recycling station at the end of their life. This requirement applies within the EU. Do not dispose of these products in the normal household waste. Always take end-of-life electronic products, batteries and packaging to a recycling center. In this way, you help avoid uncontrolled waste management and promote the recycling of materials. Batteries can contain mercury, lead or cadmium – substances that are harmful to our health and to our environment. For more information on collection and recycling, contact the product’s retailer, local authorities or organizations that monitor the manufacturing industry.
When a product supplied by Tomal is to be disposed of, Tomal has a collection system based on Tomal taking back end-of-life electrical equipment. Through this system, Tomal ensures that electronic equipment is disposed of in an environmentally safe manner and that the WEEE and Battery Directives are met.
When purchasing a piece of electrical equipment from Tomal, Tomal undertakes to take back, for each piece of electrical equipment sold within the EU, one discarded piece of electrical equipment with comparable functions that Tomal’s electrical equipment replaces. Even if it is of a different make. In this case, Tomal reserves the right to charge a fee to cover any additional expenses for handling such electrical equipment.
Please contact Tomal for more information before returning any product not produced or sold by Tomal.
For returned Tomal electrical equipment within the EU, Tomal bears all the costs of taking care of, treating and recycling according to the regulations of the WEEE and Battery Directives. Returned electrical equipment must not contain or be contaminated with substances hazardous to health or the environment. The end user pays for the transportation of the returned electrical equipment to Tomal.
