Adjustment of pH-value in the RAS process
Recycling aquaculture system (RAS) is a method in aquaculture that was developed in the 70’s from water treatment systems. The method involves growing aquatic organisms in pools where the water is re-used to different temperatures using mechanical and biological filters. In the process, it is of utmost importance that the pH value is correct, ie the measure of the acidity of the water. Hydrated lime is often used to increase the pH value.
Tomal has many years of experience of lime metering all the way back to the 70s when many potable and waste water treatment plants were expanded. Thanks to Tomal’s safe discharge, which is also very accurate, you get good control that the pH value of the water is correct. In the delivery we include a custom made silo with metering equipment.
